Loop Missions & Collections

Chase objectives in Loop Alpha without trusting incomplete lists as gospel.

Missions & Collections Guide

Missions and collections are why you move through Loop’s liminal spaces instead of camping one safe corner forever. In this Roblox Alpha by Gazing at the Moon (Runaaruu), missions push short-term objectives while collections invite longer scavenger habits. Both systems are live enough to matter and incomplete enough to frustrate — early access since 2026-08-21 means lists, trackers, and rewards can still be stubbed, renamed, or empty. This guide teaches how to play the systems honestly without pretending we have a finished encyclopedia.

If you are brand new, skim Getting Started first, then return here when objective text starts driving your routes.

Missions: the active verbs of a Day

Missions ask you to do something now: reach a place, interact with an object, survive a condition, or deliver a task under entity pressure. They are the best teacher the Alpha has, because they force map coverage.

How to run missions well

  1. Read the full prompt before sprinting. Partial reading causes wrong-wing commits.
  2. Scout light first. Carry flashlight coverage (up to two held) so objective rooms do not hide Smilers.
  3. Call the objective in co-op (servers up to 30) so three players do not triple-stack the same prop animation.
  4. Watch the retreat path. Completing a mission in a dead end beside Standing Man is a classic wipe.
  5. Chain into the next need — coins, shop, or EXIT — instead of celebratory afk in the objective room.

Missions sometimes overlap with anomaly encounters. If PopUp.exe interrupts, resolve it carefully; a Blue Screen failure can erase the value of the objective you just risked.

When to abandon a mission

Abandon (or delay) when:

  • MineSpider physics make the objective tile a bomb zone for your whole squad
  • You are on a Pure Skill rehearsal and the mission path demands a purchase you refuse — see Day Progression
  • EXIT is available and your session goal was the escape badge (How to EXIT)

Abandoning is a tool. Loop punishes pride more than patience.

Collections: the long board

Collections track gatherables, discoveries, or catalog-style goals across Days. In a finished game, collection UIs are satisfaction machines. In Loop Alpha, treat them as directional hints:

  • If the game surfaces a collection entry, it is worth noting.
  • If a community spreadsheet claims fifty undocumented entries, be skeptical until the Alpha shows them.
  • Incomplete progress bars may be unfinished design, not a secret 1% drop you must farm for hours.

Honest Alpha limitations

We will not publish fake complete lists. Missing icons, blank descriptions, or unobtainable trackers are expected. When the developer fills entries, update your personal notes — and expect this wiki page to grow with verified names rather than speculative filler.

Useful player habits while lists are thin:

  • Screenshot new collection pops when they appear
  • Record which Day bracket you were in
  • Note whether co-op presence mattered
  • Avoid paying for external “complete collection” guides that cannot cite in-game proof

Entities will contest your objectives

Objective rooms are not safe rooms.

  • Smiler — stun with flashlight discipline (How to Stun Smilers)
  • MineSpider — explode risk on clustered interact spots
  • Standing Man — idle lethal presence near doors and props

Move as if every mission marker painted a target for the map’s worst resident. That mindset alone raises clear rates.

Shop and mission synergy

Coins from mission play feed the Upgrades / Items shop. Buying vision or survivability can unlock harder collection routes later — unless you are locked into Pure Skill’s no-purchase rule. Pocket Full runners should estimate whether a purchase increases expected coins before Day 20 enough to justify the spend.

There are still no documented promo codes granting collection skips; ignore “free catalog unlock” rumors and watch the Codes Hub only for real promos.

Co-op objective etiquette

  • Let the player who started an interact finish it unless they ask for help.
  • Split flashlights across wings instead of five beams in one closet.
  • Share which collection pings you already got to reduce duplicate grinding in one session.
  • If the lobby is grief-heavy, private servers make mission learning faster.

Practical session template

  1. Set graphics for readability (Controls).
  2. Clear one mission with full prompt reading.
  3. Note any collection UI changes.
  4. Shop only if it matches tonight’s badge rules.
  5. Either push the next Day bracket or take EXIT if the lesson is complete.
  6. Write one sentence about what objective type felt unfinished — that is Alpha intel, not personal failure.

Play the missions the game gives you. Collect what the Alpha actually tracks. Leave speculative checklists behind until Loop finishes writing them — your survival rate will thank you.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Are Loop collection lists complete?

No. Loop is Alpha / early access since 2026-08-21. Treat in-game trackers as incomplete and be skeptical of unofficial “100%” lists.

Should I always finish missions before EXIT?

Not always. If your goal is the EXIT badge or ending a teaching session, escape can matter more than one more objective. See How to EXIT.

Do missions help with Pocket Full?

Yes — efficient mission clears are a primary coin engine. Just avoid purchases that fight your 10k-before-Day-20 target unless they increase expected earnings.

Can codes complete collections for me?

No documented promo codes exist yet for Loop. Collection progress is earned in-run; check the Codes Hub later for unrelated future rewards.
